Lifelines is a collection of poems about individuals’ places in society and, sometimes,
life. Each piece is a ‘tiny capsule’ of that place.
It is an attempt to use the depth which can be concisely input into subtext in poetry to draw the reader to that level and then interpret meaning.
The accessibility has some variation, so that the readership, it is hoped, will be as diverse as is the scope.
The collection is diverse, ensuring that as many readers as possible find a piece which stays with them.
SANITISED
Sitting in an open box,
Saying what should be said -
Has to, to be The Company.
Black and white, never grey,
Never even green or yellow.
